Instructions for use of the Himalayan Salt Stone Cooking/Serving Plate Round

Preheat the stone gradually in a cold oven at 170°C for 15 minutes. Then place it on the desired heat source.

BBQ instructions

1. Start on the highest rack (furthest from the heat).

2. Reduce after 15 minutes.

3. After another 15 minutes, move closer to the fire.

4. Ready to use when a drop of water hisses and ‘dances’ on the surface.

Taste & Preparation

• During cooking, a small layer of salt dissolves.
• This gives a natural, mild salty flavour to your dish.
• The longer the dish lies on the stone, the more intense the flavour.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Let cool completely.
• Rinse briefly with water (do not use soap).
• If necessary, scrape off with a knife and wipe with a damp cloth.
• Not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store in a dry place.
Please note: This is a fragile natural product so please handle with care.

Serving suggestion

This round salt stone is also ideal as a cold serving dish for sushi, tapas, cheeses, fruit, desserts, and more. Place in the refrigerator or freezer (dry!) for at least 2 hours.
