Instructions for use of the Himalaya Salt Stone Cooking/Serving Plate Square
Heat the stone slowly in a non-preheated oven at 170°C (330°F) for 15 minutes. Then continue heating on your desired heat source.
BBQ instructions
- 
Start on the highest rack (away from direct heat).
 - 
Lower after 15 minutes.
 - 
After another 15 minutes, move it closer to the fire.
 - 
Ready to use when a drop of water hisses and ‘dances’ on the stone.
 
Taste & Preparation
 • When heated, a thin layer of salt dissolves under the influence of juices from the dish.
 • This gives a natural, mild salty flavour to meat, fish or vegetables.
 • The longer on the stone, the more intense the flavour.
Cleaning & Maintenance
 • Allow to cool completely before cleaning.
 • Rinse briefly with water (do not use soap).
 • If necessary, scrape with a knife and wipe with a damp cloth.
 • Not dishwasher safe.
 • Store in a dry place. 
Please note: Fragile natural product, handle with care.
Serving suggestion
Use the salt stone cold for stylishly presenting sushi, cheeses, fruit, desserts, or salads. Chill for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator or completely dry in the freezer.
